Duration: 5 min 15 s
Description: The Arctic landscape – like the dense Aokigahara forest in Japan – shuts out all but the natural sounds of the landscape itself. Canada’s North is the ideal place for a planned death; one where you may never be found. These are the final moments of a woman who traveled from Japan to the Northwest Territories to end her life in the North’s own ‘Sea of Trees’.
